Presented by Ashley Waring, Children's Librarian, Reading Public Library. Ashley has been offering a sensory storytime at her library very successfully.
In this workshop, participants will learn why it is important to serve their local special needs population, as well as how to create programs for this group, how to market these programs, and what local organizations are available as resources. In the second part of the workshop, there will be specific instruction on how to run a "sensory storytime" for children with autism, sensory integration disorder, and other developmental delays.
