Workshop Description: Mindfulness helps people deal with stress and grow in human wellness. This two-hour mindfulness workshop for librarians will teach you practical ways to be present and grounded, to provide library service mindfully and intentionally, to grow in compassion for self and for others, and to avoid professional burn-out and compassion fatigue.

About our presenter: Ethel Fraga began meditating with the Beatles in the 60’s. For 50 years, she has been a daily meditator and student of mindful and contemplative living. Professionally, she has served in the public schools as secondary English teacher and school librarian. After retiring from full time work, she trained to teach Jon Kabat Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course and in this new work brings together her experience in and deep respect for both mindful living and service to others through education.
