The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), is a federally funded nutrition program that provides free meals to children ages 18 and under when school is not in session. Summer meal sites are located in eligible areas throughout the state, and meals are often provided in conjunction with educational and recreational activities.
Our partner, Project Bread works with public libraries who are interested in becoming summer meal sites. This is a wonderful opportunity to support the critical needs of your young community members, as well as create new partnerships for your library. For more information or to become a site, please contact MLS summer staff.
