About MLS Delivery

MLS contracts with Optima Shipping. MLS Delivery is provided to support resource sharing amongst Massachusetts Libraries. Currently, delivery is provided to over 500 libraries of all types across the state of Massachusetts. MLS delivery is used to ship between 14 and 15 million items annually among MLS member libraries and the library resource sharing networks.

Delivery Contacts Reminder

When to Contact MLS

  • Changes made to your delivery schedule due to holidays, library closings, additions and cancellations
  • If your delivery is delayed
  • Receiving mis-sorted or damaged items
  • Joining the delivery email list
  • General delivery questions (mis-sorts, bin requests, items lost in transit, etc.)

 When to Contact Optima

  • If your library has an unscheduled closure or is inaccessible for delivery
  • Changes made in delivery instructions needed for your driver (alarm codes, spare keys, etc.)
  • Ongoing delivery issues, including mis-sorted, missing, damaged items, driver issues, etc.
